Fortnite's New Stormtrooper Skin Lets Everyone Know You Have Bad Aim

Is there something you think we should be reporting on? Email news@usgamer.net.

With each new crossover that makes its way into the game permanently, the more Fortnite's battle royale starts to resemble a hyperkinetic kid-fantasy of seeing all your favorite toys (and a banana) duke it out in a fight for survival. Now, as part of a tie-in with the release of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Fortnite players can get an Imperial Stormtrooper skin.

Yes, if the idea of dropping from the Battle Bus as one of the Empire's notoriously inept footsoldiers is up your alley, you've got two options for securing the skin. If you just want to purchase the skin directly, then it's available for 1,500 V-Bucks in Fortnite's item store until November 17 at 7 p.m. ET. If you want to pick up Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order on PC, the skin is a free bonus for all purchases of the game through the Epic Games Store from now until November 30.

Why have a Star Wars crossover in Fortnite even though Respawn, developers of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, have their own battle royale? Well, Fornite's had crossovers with Disney-owned properties before, and so far, Respawn's Apex Legends hasn't dabbled in big brand tie-ins. Would I love to see a C-3PO take on Pathfinder or a Vader skin for Caustic? Well... actually, yes, I really would.

If a little Star Wars flair is going to get you back into Fortnite after a long absence, then you might need to acquaint yourself with the new map the battle royale mode received after the whole game spent a couple days hiding out in a black hole.
