Police in Dubai arrested a college student who blackmailed 10 children with naked photos he coaxed from them while playing the Fortnite video game.
A concerned mother notified the police after her son told her that a man asked him for private pictures in the chat room on Fortnite.
'The 25-year-old college student was luring the children with increasing amount on their wallets and points in the game to get their private pictures,' Brigadier Jamal Al Jallaf Director of Criminal Investigation department in Dubai Police, told Gulf News.

The defendant may have topped up the children's accounts with V-Bucks to entice them to send the images
'We arrested him and found about 200 pictures of ten children which he was planning to use them in [a] blackmail scam.'
Reports say that the 25-year-old traded pictures for in game money, known as V-Bucks, which would enable th e kids to get higher scores.
V-Bucks, or Vinderbucks, are usually purchased in blocks of 1,000 for £7.99.
Other ways to earn them are by completing daily challenges and earning in game rewards.
They can be used to purchase items in the store such as weapons and other customisations.
The police arrested the student in front of his family and Al Jallaf said the accused could face no less than five years imprisonment and a fine of no less than £55,000.
